Home Page Gladstone Auto Club  Started  About 1966  with  a Group  of  enthusiasts  getting  together  for  social  and  motor  sports  events  all  aimed  at  improving  their  driving  skills. At the  start  we  organised  gymkana's ,  observation  runs,  navigational  rally's,  night  rally's  (  the  rally's  where  more  on  skill  and  timing  not  speed  as  they  are  today. ) In  1968  the  club  started  organising  Drag  races  as  a Harbour  Festival  event. In  1969  the  club  decided  to  promote  speedway  running  saloon  cars   at the  showgrounds.
